"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

I think I caught him in between a smile and a yawn.
Chad got Carly a slip n' slide last week. She didn't quite get the idea of it until Chad started pushing her down on her belly. As you can tell, by the look on her face, she loved it!

On memorial day Chad decided to hang a tire swing for Carly. He did a pretty good job and she likes to swing high. She always says "high" when we push her.

These were some pictures I attempted to take of Carly since she turned two. She was being a typical two year old that day and was not cooperating. When I told her to look at the camera she looked away and would not smile at all!! She is such a stinker sometimes, but a cute one at least!

I hate mosquitos! But they love me....
6 times on my arms
and roughly 33 times on my legs and feet!

This was after I told Carly to hold Sam's head up. I guess I should've explained better on how to do that!
After watching my dad walk around our house with a tape measure on his pants that is all Carly wants to do with it now. It's pretty cute!

double strollers??

I've been debating on what kind of double stroller to get. If any of you have ANY recommendations that would be great. I found this one at Target.com (Baby trend Delux sit-n-stand silverado) but I don't know, so like I said, if you have any suggestions they would be great!

here are just some random videos. The fist is Chad having a little too much fun in his car. The second is at a place Chad discovered found right behind our subdivision.

Random Pictures

Sam and his Daddy
I just thought this was a sweet picture. (above) The above pictures were taken the evening that Sam got his baby blessing. It was a fun night to get the family all together and I'm glad that my parents were able to be here for it!

Carly playing with one of her birthday presants.
A picture of Sam's dark hair and quite a bit of it compared to what Carly had.
I just thought this picture was cute! It looks like he is deep in thought about something.

Thanks Dad!

I just wanted to tell my Dad thank you for the best thing ever!! When he came to visit us he put up this fence for us around our pool. It is so nice to be able to go outside and relax instead of trying to keep Carly away from the pool so thanks again Dad!!

Carly's Birthday Party

Thank you to Andrina (and Emma) for her sesame street "ba-pack" and all of the books! She was so excited. After she opend it she had to lay all the books on the floor so she could take it all in! She is a sesame street fan, that is for sure!

Carly's birthday isn't until the 22nd but we celebrated it on Saturday. She was definatly spoiled. Lots of Elmo's, a curious George bubble blower, a tri-cycle, a big bird cake and even some fish from her dad.

More Pictures

Here is our very first family picture of all FOUR of us. I still can't believe we are a family of four now. Carly was still a little shaken from hearing him cry I guess.
Here are some random picture in the hospital. I was only there from Monday morning until Tuesday afternoon so I really wasn't there that long.

These were some pictures taken today. Carly is still wondering if she likes this new situation. She'll come up and give hima kiss and then she'll try to pull his hair or pull his blanket off. I guess it will just take some time.

Here are just some random pictures. The top two were taken before Sam was born. We went and fed the ducks Sunday afternoon. Carly wanted to get right in the water with them.

Thank you Aunt Brittany!

Thank you Aunt Brittany for the blanket. They are actually the perfect colors to match all the stuff in his room.

He's here and we're home!

Samuel Chad McLane is finally here! He was born on May 12, 2008 at 12:59 p.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 12 ounces. We are so glad he is finally here!! Below is a picture of Carly actually interested in Sam. She wasn't too sure what to think when she came to the hospital. But once we brought him home she was kissing him and wanting to hold him (but only for a second) and then she was done and off to other things.

Below is me and my very pregnant belly! I was so grateful for such an easy delivery this time (not that last time was horrible) They started the whole process around 8:30 in the morning and he was here right around 1:00 that afternoon! After four pushes he was out. I couldn't have asked for it any other way!

My mom has more pictures on her camera that I will post at a later time. I can only do some much, I just had a baby ya know!

We're having a baby!

Carly found her way into our dryer. I'm glad that she can't shut the door when she's in there.
Carly thought she was pretty tricky when she found her way into this pot. She is such a silly girl!
Also, not that anyone is counting...tomorrow is the BIG day! I have been waiting for this day FOREVER!! The next time I post I'll be a mother of two children! I couldn't ask for a better mother's day present!!

Playing in the Rain...

The other day it rained hard almost the whole day long. Carly was dying to go outside so I let her play in the puddles when the rain let up. She had way too much fun!

Babies are EVERYWHERE!!

So, if you remember....last year around this time we had a pregnant black cat named Skiddo. Well...her kitten "Miss Kitty" decided she would follow in her mothers footsteps. (Now remember, she is not even a year old yet) Well, she got pregnant and had her FIVE kittens last night!

38 weeks...only 7 days to go!!

I cannot tell you how happy I am that there is only 7 days until I have this baby!! I am so ready to hold him in my arms instead of in my belly!! I guess Carly was feeling a little left out and wanted to be part of the picture!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I just wanted to give a shout out to Hans and Kristi (my sis-in-law and her hubby) They had their sweet little girl last night. She weighed in at 10lbs. 9 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long!!! She is a big baby but healthy! We're all excited for them!!
