"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Half A Year!

Our little Sambo is 6 months old today! Man, time sure flies! He is such a fun little guy (when he is happy) He is very easy to get a smile from, he loves to give you kisses and hugs! He loves to pull my hair and suck on his fists. He has found his voice and loves to use it by screaming like a girl, to the point where I think my ears will explode. He eats like a horse, I didn't know a little baby could eat so much, but it seems like he is constantly wanting food. I'm sure it'll be no time at all before he is scooting himself around and getting himself into trouble!

Mondays always come to fast!

okay, not really....it's not like my life is that busy and my Mondays are really no different than Thursdays. I just never like thinking about Mondays! This past weekend was nice. It was relaxing, nothing too exciting.
*Carly went poop (multiple times) and pee in the potty! HOORAY...we might be headed toward big girl panties before the month is over! Okay, so maybe in my dreams that will happen but I have the right to dream okay?
*Gas hit $1.83 at the Wal-Mart near our house, which is a great thing in and of itself but it also means our trip to Utah at Thanksgiving time will be a lot cheaper than expected! (yes!)
*I think I've lost 2 lbs since I started back at the YMCA. Okay, so 2 pounds isn't that great but hey, it's something! :)
*Sam has finally mastered the rolling over thing (although, he can only do it when he's really mad) oh and he's also mastered screaming like a girl! Chad is pretty proud of him for that :)
*Sam thought it would be fun to wake up every hour last night. 12:30 am, 1:30 am, 2:30 am, 3:30 am, 4:30 am, 5:00 am, 5:30 am, and finally 7:00. It's like he had an alarm clock in there with him. Needless to say I wasn't very fun to be around today! :)
*It's finally been getting cool enough at night to turn our heater on so...it actually feels like Fall (which is always good thing, considering it's November!)
*I've got all my Christmas shopping done (just for our kids) which is actually a big deal since I'm such a procrastinator!
Anyway...hope you all had a good weekend and that we can all make it through Monday!

Halloween 2008

Well, here are our pictures from Halloween. It was pretty fun this year! Since Carly is obsessed with Sesame street I thought it would be fun to dress up as characters from it. As you can see..I was Oscar the Grouch, Carly was Big Bird, Sam was Elmo and Chad was The Count (minus the purple face) Thanks to the wonder of EBay and Craig's list I got everything pretty cheap (which is always a plus!) The top picture is all of us in Halloween shirts that I did.
Another picture of Carly and Adam, and a confused big bird/Oscar the Grouch.

Carly did pretty well Trick-or-treating. We walked down our street a couple houses and after the first couple she got the idea. She got a Halloween pencil at one house and ended up throwing it on the ground (luckily not in front of the people that gave it to her) She didn't want it because it wasn't candy. We had a lot of good food and good company so it was a great Halloween!
