Bum Deal!

Just to update you all...the house that I previously posted about, well, it's a no go. It's a long story so I'll try to make it short. First of all the owners of the home got mad at us for getting the house inspected and they also got upset when we got the house aprraised. Don't ask me why! Well, the house was listed at 150,00. We got it down to 144,000 with 4,ooo back at closing. WEll..the appraisal came back that the house was worth 137,000 (which is unreal for those of you in Utah!) Well..the loan people said they wouldn't give us a loan for 144,000 when the house was worth 137,000. We talked to the owners and they are very stubborn and would not budge an inch. So we todl them no way, we are not going to buy a house when it isn't worth what we would pay for it! Not to worry, we already have looked at some other homes and have a list of home to look at. We have a loan so once we find one we'll be all set!

Chaddy Boy

This is a picture of Chad's father's day cake. This is what he wanted for father's day. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I had extra batter so I made a mini cake and he decided it would make a cool volcano cake. He decorated it himself!

Carly's new tricks!

The other day I found out that Carly can climb up on chairs all by herself. It surprised me. We really don't have things she can climb on so when I used our chairs to block her from the kitchen I think she found it quite amusing to climb up and down.

The living room. We are going to replace the carpet in here and eventually we are going to do something with the fireplace. It looks really dated but it's not bad. I especailly love the built in book shelves!

The kitchen. We will remove the wall paper and repaint. Eventaully we want to re-do the floors in here to, but that will be down the road a bit. The precious owners remodled the kitchen.

Well, this is it. It's almost offical. We should close on it on the 29th, which I am so excited about. These are the pictures they had on the internet. I will definatly take more once we get in there. There are a couple things we are going to change at first which is the carpet in the living room and we are taking down the wall paer in the kitchen and bathrooms and we will paint, paint, paint! I love to paint so I am excited! We really love that it is in an older subdivison so there are a lot of trees! The house was built in 1973 so there are little things that need to be done but that will be fun. The onyl big project we will have are re-modeling the bathrooms (once we get the funds to do so!) I am way excited..plus the back yard isn't infested with crawfish, which is defiantly a plus for me!

I also want to with a Happy Fathers day to my dad and to Chad's Dad. You both are such great examples to us and we hope you had a great Father's day!

I was just thinking back to a year ago and thought I'd share some pictures. I still can't believe my baby is one year old!!

Story time!

A camping we will go....

Our little fish. She has no fear when it comes to water. She wanted to just walk right in and take off. As soon as she is old enough for swim lessons I will be taking her!

Tragically we had to say good-bye to her highchair! (it flew out of the boat on our way home)

Chad got an itch to go fishing so we decided to go to huntsville State park (about an hour north of us) to go camping for the night. We packed up, hitched up the good old fishin' boat and left. I actually enjoy camping so Chad got lucky with that! We stayed in a little cabin/tent that you can reserve there. After some heavy duty sweeping and some bug killing we got everything upacked. Carly loved it! The last time we were there she was only 4 months old (and I thought she was difficult then) She wanted to be everywhere and into everything! She loved the fire (like father like daughter!) We just relaxed that night while Chad did some fishing. The next morning Chad woke up early and fished some more and then we went down to the swimming area to swim. They have to set aside a special swimming area at this lake because there are alligators there, yes, I said alligators! Anyway...it was a lot of fun and I am excited to go back!

Okay, so is it just me or is our cat "special"? She just had a kitten two weeks ago and she is already going into heat? I don't get it? Is it the way we raised these cats that made them turn out so retarded? Hopefully our children don't turn out like this!! (just kidding) Today was one of those days where I wouldn't feel guilty about getting rid of our two cats. The kitten is still pure and innocent so it still stands a chance unless the problems are genetic, then we'll have to kiss good-bye to phantom sambo noname kitty McLane

Kitten with no name!

Here's an updated photo of our kitten. He really is a cute kitten (but really, have you ever seen an ugly kitten?? Besides the hairless ones) He is fun and starting to become really active.

12 month Check up!

Well, i took Carly to the Doctor on Friday for her 12 month check-up! I still can't believe I have a one year old! She is currently 29 inches long and 20 lbs! She just keeps growing (which is what is suppose to happen I guess:)
