"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

The Museum of Natural Science

Carly and Chad infront of some amazing rocks or minerals, I guess. She had fun looking at all of the bright colors. She's been a trooper, she has a really bad cold but is still such a good girl and let us enjoy the museum.

I'm a geek!

I know, I'm a geek, but these rocks were amazing. They were at the Museum of Science. I never thought that rocks and minerals could be so interesting but they were. The colors that some of them are were amazing and so vibrant, and them some of them were just wierd.

Bling!

We went to the Museum of Natural Science in Houston. They had this exhibit on gems and it was amazing! I have never seen so many shiny things all in one room. These necklaces were unreal and probably all weighed at least 5 lbs. each.

Taco!

We stayed at Chad's uncle's house in San Antonio. He has to parrots, Taco and Mango. Taco is the friendly one and Carly loved to sit and stare at them in their cage. In this picture it kept nibbling on her finger and she loved it, as you can tell. She is going to be an animal lover when she grows up!

San Antonio

These are just some random pictures we took in San Antonio. We had a lot of fun. My bro. Daniel brought two of his friends and my sis. Sharise brought one of her friends, so we had a big crew but it was great!! I love it when family comes to visit!

Remember the Alamo

My family came to visit us all the way from Utah, so we decided to take a road trip to San Antonio because they had never been. This is obviously Chad, Carly and I infront of the Alamo. I never knew that the Alamo was right in the middle of downtown San Antonio. This was the only day that we actually didn't need a Jacket. The rain and the cold decided to leave for one day, it was so very nice.

Our first Children

Now I feel as though this site is complete. You can see every member of the McLane family. These are our cats...Skiddo (black) and Daisy. Chad and I got these kittens the April after we were married so they are like our first children. And believe me when I say that Carly has been a whole lot easier than these two. Maybe I'm not a pet person after all. Yes, they are cute but looks aren't everything. And to Chad's excitement we may be having little kittens soon from both of them...yes...I said BOTH! Hopefully their kittens will turn out somewhat normal.

Chad with his two babies

I couldn't resist...a picture with Chad and his two babies. He wasn't asleep, although it looks that way. He sure loves his baby girl and his baby boy. Skipper would stay attached to chad all day if he could. He whines for about 10 minutes almost everyday when Chad leaves for work...and when he comes home from work, skipper about has a heart attack because he's so excited. It's pretty funny. If Carly could jump up and down I'm sure she'd do the same thing.

Giddy up

I have too much fun with our camera. It's a good thing Carly is such a good sport about it. She's our little pink cowgirl.
Some of them are blurry because I can't get the little one to hold still, but I
suppose that is a good thing right??

Chad decided to get outside one day and rake all our leaves. It ended up makeing a couple of huge piles so we figured we could make it a kodak moment. Carly loved it, if she didn't have her binky she probably would've eaten a couple leaves that day.

I know it's past Christmas but I love Christmas so I thought I'd schare a picture anyway. It was Carly's first Christmas and well....she was way more interested in the bows and wrapping paper, but that is OKAY. We had a great Christmas and are looking forward to next year when hopefully Carly will get a little more excited about it.

Carly Shmarly

This is our cute little Carly McLane. We love her so much. It is unbelievable how much joy this tiny person can bring into your life. She is such a good baby. From day one (well, let's say day two) she has slept most of the night. She hardly every cries and as you can see, she loves to smile. She is just getting the hang of scooting around on the floor. She is not yet to the point of crawling but she sure gets to where she wants to go and she can get there quick. She loves Skipper and would play with him all day if she could. We just love her and are enjoying every day with her.

Skipper

This is Skipper. He's about 3 weeks older than Carly. He may look sweet and precious, but he has you fooled. He may only weigh 10 lbs and not even a foot tall but he is a terror. Here is just a small list of items that he has claimed as chew toys... our wedding album (yes, that's right) a memory card for our digital camera, the corners of our bookshelf, one of Carly's shoes, numerous pairs of socks that he has found on the floor, and the list goes on and on. I have to admit, it is hard to stay mad at him for long. I think the first words that Carly ever speaks will be "bad dog."

We are the McLane Family. Chad and I were married almost two years ago. Can you believe it. Our anniversary is the 22nd of this month. Our little Carly is almost 8 months now, she was born on May 22, 2006. I can't believe how fast time flies now that I am a wife and a mother. It's amazing to watch Carly grow every day, some day (not too far in the distance) I have a feeling that she'll pass me up in height. Which isn't that difficult I suppose. We are currently living in a nice little home in Tomball, Texas. Where the stars are big and bright at night. As long as it's not raining. For the most part we enjoy it here, except for the rainy days and the really humid ones. Chad is selling health insurance and luckily his office is only 10 minutes away. As for me, i spend my days being a mother to Carly (most important) Skipper, Skiddo and Daisy (our "special" pets.)
