"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Video of Carly

I just thought Carly was being cute so I decided to get it on camera. Hope you enjoy!

Strawberries!

Okay, this picture doesn't show any strawberries but that's okay. This past saturday we went to this place called Kings Orchard. They let you pick fruits, veggies and flowers (you have to pay of course) The day we went the only thing available for picking was strawberries. It was fun but it was really hot. We did get a lot of strawberries!

Carly and Garfield

Okay, so Carly loves to headbutt animals. I don't know where she got this little habit. Chad and I certainly don't do that around the house. She is a funny little girl! There are more videos on my space if you want to check them out.

World Travelers!! Kinda....

Well...I jsut posted a whole lot of pictures so be sure to scroll down a while! We just got back from our long vacation to Utah and San Diego. It feels like I have been away for a whole month! Well...we started our trek in utah to see Daniel speak in church and for family pictures. It was so fun to see everyone (all the extended family and friends also) I sure do miss everyone up there! Well...after about 5 days in utah we flew back to Houston on wednesday night. Then, Thursday morning we decided ,what the heck, lets go to California! Just kidding...Chad had a convention for work on Coronado Island and it happened to be the 19th-22nd. So we just extended our vacay a couple more days. We re-packed and got on another airplane Thursday afternoon. The convention was so fun. It was even more fun thinking that we didn't have to pay a dime for it! Well, to wrap things up we had a great vacation but we are so ready to be at home and on the ground. No more airplanes!! (At least until July!) Oh...by the way..I have a lot of videos but I will put them on later because i'm tired right now :)
YEA!! Grass that doesn't have crawfish and fire ants crawling in it!!!
These are just a handful of the pictures I took at Red Cliffs. This was after the family picture taking and we were just goofing around! Carly thought she was so tricky because she figured out how to climb through the hole.

Come fly with me...

Chad gave her a sucker to occupy her for a while (until she started getting us all sticky!)
Carly has become quite the little traveler! She has flown 4 times in a week and a half (which, by the way, i woudn't recommend to anyone!) She did unbelievably well all four times! Chad and I are so lucky to have such a good baby!

The Loews Hotel Coronado

Here are a couple of pictures we took around the Hotel... This was looking down the stairs in the main lobby of the Hotel.
This was the shower in our bathroom. Carly LOVED it! I've never seen a baby who loved water so much! We took her swimming in the pool (i forgot the camera) well anyway....she would splash water all in her face and laugh. She definatley doesn't take after me!

This was the view we had outside of our room. Not too shabby!

Sea World!!

The company that Chad sells for (the company that paid for this trip) also paid for everyone to go to either Sea World or the San Diego Zoo. We chose Sea world. It was so fun and luckily the weather decided to shape up also! I forget how much I love seeing these kind of animals until I got there! It's amazing how big Killer Whales are and how fun dolphins are. It reminded me of when I was younger and I always wanted to be a dolpin trainer! We only made it to the Shamu show because Carly didn't like to sit very long in our laps. But we did make it around to most of the park and heck it was free! I can't complain!

Last Day in Cali

The last evening we were in San Diego, we drove across the street to walk on the beach. It was Carly's first time to see the ocean!! She was so excited (or I'd like to think that!) It was a little chilly but it was still so fun. I love the ocean, it is so beautiful all of the time!

Smiley

I know, I've posted a lot of pictures today but oh well! Carly was being so silly while she was eating lunch so I had to snap some pictures.

Attacking the Easter Bunny

Yummy Yummy

So, I just had to post a picture of my pretty cheesecake! We had Easter dinner at Chad's sister's house so I made the dessert. I made it from scratch and I was so proud of it! The crust is made of chocolate graham crackers instead of the original. I have made cheesecakes in the past but they never turned out quite right so I decided to use a different recipe. Not to toot my own horn or anything but it was YUMMY!!

Happy Easter!

Here are just some random pictures from easter morning before Church. Carly didn't quite get the whole idea of an Easter basket but it was still fun!

Of course Skipper has to get in on the action!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

well...it's raining yet again here in good old texas. It seems like it rains here at least twice a week and now the weather is warming up so it's rainy and muggy! I just don't know how i'm going to do another summer here. At least I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding like last summer, hopefully that will make it a little bit better. I used to like the rain when I lived in utah, only because it was a rare occurance, but now that it happens almost everyday (okay, not every day but it feels like it) I am beginning to hate it with a passion. We have a backyard but we can't enjoy it because half of the time it's a lake. I should look on the bright side and think about swimming in our lake but no...we can't do that because of the crawfish and fire ants that live in our grass. Did I mention that our house is being surrounded by bugs. Everytime I look out the window there is some new species of bug that is crawling across it. Whenever I walk out our kitchen door, a wasp decides to come and say hello and whenever we walk in and out by our front door we are greeted by a nice spider couple who has decided to make that spot their new home. Doesn't that just make you want to come visit us?? Okay...i'm done complaining.
