"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Halloween 2008

Well, here are our pictures from Halloween. It was pretty fun this year! Since Carly is obsessed with Sesame street I thought it would be fun to dress up as characters from it. As you can see..I was Oscar the Grouch, Carly was Big Bird, Sam was Elmo and Chad was The Count (minus the purple face) Thanks to the wonder of EBay and Craig's list I got everything pretty cheap (which is always a plus!) The top picture is all of us in Halloween shirts that I did.
Another picture of Carly and Adam, and a confused big bird/Oscar the Grouch.

Carly did pretty well Trick-or-treating. We walked down our street a couple houses and after the first couple she got the idea. She got a Halloween pencil at one house and ended up throwing it on the ground (luckily not in front of the people that gave it to her) She didn't want it because it wasn't candy. We had a lot of good food and good company so it was a great Halloween!

You guys look great. Looking at those green deviled eggs reminded me of the time I made green spaggetti when you were little and you wouldn't eat it.
It looks like you had a fun Halloween.

Those shirts look cute that you made. How did you do them? I bet Carly loved the Sesame Street theme! You guys are good to all dress up. We didn't dress up. I didn't feel like getting into it really. After our Halloween party a week ago I was done with Halloween and just wanted to put all my decorations away even though Halloween hadn't even come yet! Oh well... on to the next holiday!

ya...the green eggs were suppose to be blue (eyeballs)
To make the shirts I just bought plain white t-shirts from Hobby Lobby, printed off some halloween coloring pages off the internet and traced them with puff paint. Pretty simple, the paint probably won't last after a couple washes but we got our use out of them and they were cheap!
