Galveston

Here are some pictures that we took when we went to Galveston on Friday. Carly loved the beach. She got so much sand everywhere but she was happy!

The blurry pictures are actually vidoes, that is why they are blurry. I will get the vidoes on here in a couple days.

This was at Moody Gardens in the Aquarium. Carly loved to look at all the fish.

Surprise!!

This is the newest addition to our family. He (we think it's a he) was born on monday night. A day before Carly's birthday! We knew Skiddo (our black cat) was pregnant but we weren't expecting it until later this week. Monday night she surprised us. She had two babies but the first one died. So, this is the survivor! Daisy thinks she is the mom though. It's a weird thing. It's crazy how tiny they are!

Cheer bear!

Here is my attempt of a Care bear cake. It's cheer bear if you don't know your care bears very well. Carly enjoyed it very much!! I can't believe she is a year old already!

Yummy ice Cream!

Oh my Lucky Charms!

We went grocery shopping the other night and Chad wanted a box of Lucky Charms so we bought it. He opened it when we got home and this was what we found! This is a picture of how many Marshmellows that were in just ONE bowl. (and it wasn't even all the marshmellows!) It was really gross (no offense Emma) I can't imagine eating all of those!

Glad the weekend is over!!

Well, we had a very eventful weekend and I am sure glad that it is over!! it all started Thursday when carly decided to wake up with a low grade fever. So I gave her some tylenol and headed off to the YMCA. She seemed to be all right the rest of the day, just a little more cuddly than usual. She is teething so I figured that was the reason for her fever. Friday went about the same, although I woke up feeling a little tickle in my throat, nothing too serious. by Friday night my tickly throat felt more scratchy and I though "great, this is all I need." Carly ran a low grade fever most of friday but again, i thought it was her teeth so I rotated Motrin and Tylenol. Well, Friday night (really Saturday morning) at 3:00 am Carly woke up crying (which is very unusual for her) I went in to chekc on her and she was burning up. It turned out she had a fever of 103 which really freaked me out so I gave her motrin and undressed her and put a wet cloth on her head. I held her four about on hour, i felt so bad for her. her fever finally started to let up so I laid her back in bed and she went right to sleep. Saturday, she woke up a little warm but nothing to worry about. My throat was now to the point to where It hurt to swallow and it felt like something was caught in my throat! Well, we bucked up and decided to stick with our originaly plan for Saturday and go couch shopping. Luckily The Dump (yes that is the name of a furniture store) had the perfect couch we had been looking for. We walked in, it was the first one we saw and sat in and we loved it. We did walk around and look at a couple others but we really like the first one so we got it. it is a dark brown couch and love seat and it so so comfy! Well, we got home and carly was freaking out so I took her into her doctor and of course, nothing is wrong with her. (yeah right!) Saturday night me and Chad had plans to go on a date, so we kept our plans we just made it a short date. (Carly stayed at home with April and her friend) it was nice to get out of the house even though I felt terrible (my throat now turned into aches and pains and an upset stomach.) We got home, Chad put Carly to bed and I got to relax. Sunday, we woke up and I could barely talk or swallow my own spit! It was awful, after looking at my throat in the mirror I decided to head straight to the instacare, where i came to find out the I was "Flaming Positive" (the doctors exact words) for Strep throat! "Lovely" I though. The doctor gave me the choice of oral antibitocs or a fast acting shot. I chose the shot since I have a sick baby to take care of. So, I came home and relaxed most of the day. We found out also that our Air conditioner to our house decided to stop working! It ended up being 84 degrees IN OUR HOUSE!! I felt like I was in a sauna! Luckily a maintance guy is coming today to fix it! One more thing to end our PERFECT weekend. Carly woke up this morning with a rash all over her body!! At least i feel about 80% better, thanks to that wonderful shot! Well, sorry this was long :)

This morning carly was being silly. She had no fever at least, just a nice little rash! She kept putting her sock in her mouth.

Our sick little girl! This was on sunday. She actually would just sit on the couch on not move, which is very unusual for this little one! Plus, it didn't help that is was so hot in our house!

Here's a couple pictures I had taken at Target (man I love that place!) Anyway...they were going to be for her 1 year birthday but i got them taken when she just turned 11 months so I guess they don't really count. They turned out really cute though!

Fun times!

This was an early birthday presant for Carly. I couldn't resist because the weather has been so good and hot lately. She absolutly loves it!! It is so cute and there is so much to it that she didn't loose interest at all. By the way...I know that it was too small for me to play in (notice my swimsuit) but it was a good time to work on my tan or rather to try to get a tan!

Hooray for the YMCA!

So...I am not an offical member but I have been going to the YMCA with a girl name Cory. Her hubby works with Chad and her and Chad's family have been friends for a long time. Well, she is the mom of two kids and has been wanting to get out so she was brave enough to try the YMCA (she's normally like me and is a chicken and won't try new things by herself) Luckily she tried it and loved it, so I am in my trial week and I know it's only tuesday but I love it! Yesterday we did a stroller fitness class together. I'm glad Carly is good in her stroller, she actually fell asleep for part of it. (not to get too graphic) I haven't sweat that much in a long time, mostly because it was a good hour of straight walking and jogging and also because it's so dang humid here! Today we did a yoga class together. We took our babies to the daycare they have there and we enjoyed an hour free from kids. I felt like a dork because I have never done Yoga in my life but after today I can see why it is such a good workout. Tomorrow we are doing the stroller fitness again. it's so great to get out of the house and to talk with other adults! Well, that's whats new in my life, just thought i'd let ya'll know!
