Hog huntin'

Yes...I know what you're thinking. This is Chad's trophy hog. Chad, his dad, his bro-in-law and friend Jordan went on a hog hunt yesterday. Actually it was at night. They began the process around 8:00 p.m. and didn't get done with it until 3:00 a.m. Chad's hog was the only male and the biggest one out of all of them, weighing almost 300 lbs! You may be asking how they killed these massive beasts. They didn't use guns, or bows...they used an eight inch blade. They actually had to stab the things right in the heart, pretty gross but they had a lot of fun.
Check out the bloody hands eh? YUCK!

The dog in this picture was just a pup and sadly he got lost that night :( This is also a picture of Chad's hog. They had tons of dogs there that would chase the hogs first and then Chad had to run after the dogs to get to the hog. His hog ran into some cactus, so he had to climb a tree to be able to get to it without getting stuck with cacti. He landed on the hogs butt when he jumped from the tree. It's a good thing the pittbulls were holding the hog's head down.

Okay Danette, that is really really gross! I can't believe Chad did that! I just can't picture it at all.
And the bloody hands, disgusting. So are you going to eat your mighty hunter's kill? That's a lot of meat, what are you going to do with it all!?

Yes, they killed a total of 4 hogs that night. We have 8 hams, 2 back straps, and a few pork chops. We currently have over a hundred pounds of meat! Yummy...!!!!

All I can say is yuckkkkkkkkky. I can't believe you had fun doing that but I guess it is a good thing that somebody likes to do those sorts of things or we would have no protein to eat. Save me some of the ham I would like to try it. I am just glad that you are home safe and sound so that you can continue taking care of my daughter and granddaughter. Bring your pictures to New Mexico so we can see the other pictures. Can't wait to see you Love ya lots.

Okay, that is totally gross and very Lord of the Flies. But now you can feast for a few years! The mighty hunter has provided for his family! Just promise me you won't start wearing a loin cloth or anything like that, okay Chad? Congrats on your victory over the hog!

It must be a guy thing because Dave was very impressed (well, me too actually) and jealous! That's just crazy how they killed them! My dad has tried hunting them on the Arizona strip, but they never saw any, I will definately have to show him your pictures, he would be impressed!
