"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

"I didn't want to loose it!"

November 12, 2011

Tonight was the night. Miss Carly's tooth had been loose for quite some time. Today while I was gone, Daddy had fun playing around with it, loosening it up. We told her tonight was the night, it had to come out. We probably shouldn't have said that because I think she worried a little too much about it all day! We got home from dinner and began the process. It took a while but with some floss and some surprise hard tugs on it, it finally came free.

Her reaction wasn't quite what we thought it would be. I'm glad we got it on video, although it was kind of sad. She was really upset that it was gone. I think she was worried about how she would look. She seriously cried for probably 1/2 hour. She didn't even want to look at her tooth.

After we brushed her teeth and got ready for bed she took some time looking in the mirror, studying it out and I think she's come to terms with it.

Although, she just told me she's worried her new tooth will come in and be bigger than the rest and then she'll look funny.

(when do I tell her that is most likely what will happen?)

Anyway, as of now she seems to be okay with it and is excited to show people at church tomorrow.

p.s. Don't mind out nasty paint colors in our bedroom. Unlike the way carly feels about her tooth, I can't wait to loose those paint colors ;)

It's so funny to see the anxiety they have about losing that first tooth. Abbie's video is the best- don't know if you remember that or not. Way to go Miss Carly! You still look super cute! :)

YEAH Carly that is so awesome that you lost a tooth. You are gorgous and will always be gorgous, with a big or little tooth.

I want to see Chad's mad face..."like dish". Is that what he said? :) Cute video, even when she's crying she's cute.

Oh, growing up is hard! That video is sad but it will be funny when she is older!
It's weird to see their little faces with big teeth, it doesn't seem right. Andrina has some big teeth coming in, her front teeth we've been calling chiclet's, not to her face of course...but that should give you a good idea of what they remind me of. She'll grow into them, hopefully.

I'm a good mom.
