"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Tis' the season for sports.....

This is the first year that we've had our kids in any kind of sports. We weren't really sure what we were getting ourselves into. Once we got them signed up I was having all sorts of worries as to how we were going to juggle the two but luckily it's working out.
Carly had her very first game on Saturday which was also Opening Season for baseball (Sam's K-ball)  Sam was able to be in a cute little parade and then it was pretty much time for Carly's game.
We got Sam's uniform the morning of the parade. He was so excited to find out that he's #1.
Tonight was his first game. He was so excited! The poor kids though, it was freezing cold (okay, freezing for  Texas. I won't tell the actual temperature because I don't want to be made fun of!) The wind was crazy though!  He played really well although the poor thing was freezing cold and didn't move a muscle until someone hit the ball then he ran after it. Even if it was on the other side of the field.  It was like tackle football over a little baseball!  He had so much fun though and he even got the game ball tonight!!

The above 3 pictures were take at the parade.

Carly's first soccer game went really well.  She is the shortest on the team (poor girl takes after her mama!) She is #16.
She really tried so hard and really played her very best! She was so excited to be playing and I think she felt really grown up out there playing in front of everyone. I forgot my nice camera so our phones had to do.

I love little boys in baseball uniforms! So cute! How did you get Sam's pants to stay up though? He has no bum to keep them in place. ;)
