"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

1st Grade girl!

This was the before picture the day we got Carly's hair cut.  I knew it was long but didn't realize how long it was now that we chopped it off. She had been asking for a haircut for a while and I finally broke down and took her. I'm so glad I did. She loves it and I love that the tangles are gone (for now!)

We had some visitors early in the month. My grandparents came to visit and brought my Nephew Josh along for the ride. It was their first time meeting Annie and Annie actually cooperated and let other people hold her for a change!

Here is my big first grader!  Not really sure when or how that happened so fast but she was super excited! I'm not going to lie, I was super excited to.  This summer was....interesting.  Having a new baby right before school got out kind of made the summer a little boring for this spunky gal.  I could tell the past couple weeks she was getting super bored and ready to be back in school with all her friends. (Plus, I could not take another day of her and Sam going at each other.)
We met her teacher a couple days before school started.  She seems great and I really think this year will be just as good as last year!
I just wish Carly would stop growing so fast!
