"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Kitten, A friendly bug, and the Letter A

My cute Kiddos before church. (I know, we still have a binky face. We're working on that....just waiting till his molars come in, we don't want to make things worse than what they are!)

Sam discovered the kittens.

As we were playing outside this afternoon Carly and Sam discovered this little guy crawling around in the leaves. I think it was injured because it wasn't flying and after Carly got through playing with it, it probably wished it was dead! At one point I thought she was going to kiss it. She proceeded to talk to it (like it could understand) and she said "oh....your my best friend!" (should I be worried about that?)

The first of the month I started doing pre-school with Carly. She absolutly loves it! We are doing a letter a week with other activities based off of that. This is her proudly showing the letter "A" that she wrote all by herself.

Andy is right. Me and bugs DO NOT mix. Although, bugs and the bottom of my shoe do!

It is so awesome that you are teaching Carly letters! That is pretty impressive!

Good job, Carly Q! That bug is disgusting though. I'm glad I haven't seen any that big around here. You can keep 'em down there in Texas.
