9 months!

I've been slacking on the blog lately but at least you know you'll get the monthly update on Miss Annie.

Annie at 9 Months:

*She doesn't show much interest in crawling. She'd much rather just roll everywhere.

*Hasn't really pulled herself up to the standing position either. I'm OK with that!

*She has sat up by herself from lying down. (only twice)

*She loves to try to stand by herself.  She'll keep trying to push my hands away when I'm holding her in a standing position.

*I've been working on "kisses" with her.  For the first time last night she leaned over to give me a "kiss"  It was adorable and it made my day!

*She has been a bit clingy and grumpy the past couple days. She could be getting more teeth?

*She only had her two bottom teeth so far.

*She is a good eater but still loves to have a bottle. She can feed herself little snacks.

*She's a good napper as well, but if her morning schedule gets thrown off (Thursday's for Sam's preschool and Sunday's early church) The rest of her day doesn't go real smooth.

*She loves to growl.  She'll also say the sounds "da da da" and "ba ba ba"

*I haven't taken her to her 9 month check up but we weighed her on our scale and I think she weighed 22 lbs.

*She is wearing clothes that Carly wore when she was 18 months.

*She loves to be swung around.

*She is quite difficult to get to laugh. You really have to work at it sometimes.

*She is still leery of other people besides Chad and I.

I think I say this every month but I am just so grateful that she came into our family! We just love her to pieces and I seriously can't kiss and love on her enough! 

What we've been up to...

We haven't really been up to much. That is my reason for the lack of blogging these days, plus facebook is just so much easier to upload pictures to but I do miss the blog sometimes. Life is good around these parts. There is nothing to complain about which I consider a huge blessing. The pictures below are all from the month of January.

I had to get another sleeping kid picture. She just looked too cute for words!

Carly has been losing teeth like crazy!

 

She also caught her first fish! (although she didn't want to hold it for a picture.)

We've been taking advantage of the unbelievable weather the past couple days.  It really is incredible for the month of January. But thinking back we always seem to get a nice warm spell right smack in the middle of winter season. I love it!

Annie enjoyed her first taste of leaves. Gotta love the fiber right?

She also thought the grass was pretty interesting as well.

Sam loves to play in his dirt. It looks like we need to add more dirt to his pile though, it's turning into more of a dirt crater.

As you can tell Annie loves it outside.

Love baby sneezes!

I am so glad I caught this on camera. It's her new trick lately and it's hilarious!! I can't really describe how funny. I hope to catch it on video before she stops doing it. She just randomly tries to blow razz berry's.  She is successful about half the time. The other half she basically just blows air our of puckered lips.  The best part is the build up before the blowing of air.  She cracks us up!

8 months old!

Has it really been another month? She just needs to stop growing right now!  

*Her first tooth finally broke through on Christmas day! She is now working on her second bottom tooth.

*She went through a phase of waking up every morning at 3:30 and staying awake for an hour. I'm so glad that phase has passed. Were back to sleeping through the night!

*She loves food when she's in the mood. I can get her to eat mostly fruits. She's not a fan of veggies.  She despises avocado.  She is loving the little yogurt bites. I also gave her an orange slice to chew on the other day and she LOVED it.

*She no longer wants to be rocked to sleep.  I'll admit I'm kind of sad about that one. It is nice to be able to just lay her down and she'll go to sleep but I am missing that cuddle time at the end of the day.

*She is starting to make sounds like "da da da" and "ma ma ma" and "ba ba ba" She also makes a little growling noise. I'm not quite sure how to explain it. 

*In her high chair when she is getting ready to get out she'll strain her whole body. Imagine someone lifting something really heavy, that is sort of what she does.  It's hilarious.

*She likes to hit her spoon when it's full of baby food.

*She is showing no desire to crawl, she doesn't even get on her hands and knees. She's perfectly content just sitting.  She will, however, roll all over the place.

*She's still huge fan of bath time and loves it even more now that she is sitting up.

*The third picture below this shows her everyday face.  This is the face she has most of the day. (unless of course it's her "wahhh-nie" face)  It's quite funny. 

*She still lives up to her nickname "Wahhh-nie" She definitely has got the crying/fussy thing down.

I just can't imagine our life without her.
