"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Gross/McLane trip to Branson :)
We finally did it. After many years Emma and I finally planned a trip so we could see each other and meet each others little ones! It was really fun, the car ride was a different story but once we got to Branson it was fun. I had never been there and I always enjoy going to places I've never been. We were only there two full days so we didn't get to do much. The cabin we stayed in was really great! I found it off the Internet so I was kind of scared to see it but I was really pleased with how nice it turned out to be. I didn't get a picture though, maybe Emma did. Anyway....I'm glad we planned it and that everything worked out so great!
Here are some random pictures from our car ride. It took about 13 hours to get there and 12 to get home. it was long but I got to see parts of the country that I've never seen before.

The pictures above were taken at Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. It was a huge outdoor store with it's own restaurant that had a really good buffet. Carly and Andrina loved looking at the fish.
These were taken while we were waiting for Daddy to ride on the go-karts. Carly loves these little mechanical toys and for 25 cents you can't beat it!
These were taken at the Hollywood Wax museum which was interesting but not as exciting as what there Internet sight said. Emma and I and the girls went while Kevin and Chad went fishing. Andrina was afraid of most of them and Carly didn't really care!

Although she was trapped inside a booster seat which helped. This place is a huge arena where they feed you tons of yummy food and put on a how down in the arena. This one had tons of horses and pigs and ostriches. It was a Christmas show, which was kind of odd since it's only October, but it was well worth it!!

I think I did this a long time ago but here goes again...
Rules- Each player lists 6 habits/facts about them, then when they are done they tag 6 of their friends.
1. I'll start with the most obvious one. I am deathly afraid of bugs. I will purposely go a different route just so I don' have to pass by them if they're in the house. I can handle snakes, but bugs are a no go.
2. I love the taste of Vinegar and lemon Juice (not together) I will use plain vinegar on a salad and will drink a cup of Lemon Juice and water. I have no idea where this came from but it just what my taste buds like.
3. This is a disgusting one but I have always wanted to dissect a human body. When I was in middle school I wanted to job shadow a mortician. I am just so fascinated with the human body and how it all works. It's an amazing thing. Last year we went to see the exhibit Body Worlds (www.bodyworlds.com) when it was here in Houston and I would've stayed there for hours. It was amazing.
4. One time I made some brownies and I ate almost the whole pan in one day.
5. I hate belly buttons. The worst was when I was big and prego and the thing wouldn't stop poking out. YUK!
6. I can't stand Arnold Swarchenegger and Sylvester Stalone.
I now tag: Natasha, Desirae, Brittany, Cami, Sharise, Mom

Lady
Don't worry, this is not because I'm prego. I've been looking for the past couple months casually for a beagle or a cocker spanial. There are a ton of shelters around here but I wasn't having any lucky finding any. The other day we were driving home from getting some dinner and we passed these peopl ethat were selling this one and only beagle. She is a lemon beagle. She is 8 weeks old and she is so sweet. A little crazy, like all puppies can be, but sweet. I know you probably think I'm crazy to get a puppy now but it's acutally not bad.

spaghetti face and more...
Here are just some random pictures from last week. I got her hair up in a little pony tail. It looked so cute!! I also took pictures of her spaghetti face, she was enjoying her dinner way too much! The other picture is of Carly and Kennedy watching a movie on the computer. She only lasted a couple minutes before she was ready to get off the chair. She is starting to show some interest in Sesame Street. She loves it when Elmo's World comes on because she loves the fish that is in the fishbowl. She is sure getting to be a big girl!Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Camping in Huntsville

This past friday night we went on a long overdue camping trip. The weather was perfect, we could't ask for anything better. Thanks to my mom we had anice blow-up mattress to sleep on and once again Carly did great! She was so fascinated with the fire it was hard to keep her away from it. Chad's parents and April also came up late friday night. I'm glad they did, it was nice to have the company. I prepared tin foil dinners earlier that day and to my surprise that actually turned out yummy. All in all, we had a great time!

April's B-day
We went to eat at mexican restaurant on April's b-day. It was yummy, like all mexican food is! When they came to sing to her they put a huge sombrero on her head and whip cream on her nose. (it must be a mexican tradition to do that, they did that on my b-day at a different mexican restaurant) As you can tell from the picture, she was thrilled!Thursday, September 6, 2007
Rock-a-bye
Well, I have something to post other than pointless stuff. I finally got Carly to say Rock-a-bye on the video. It is so cute! I had no idea what she was saying for a while until one day we were in her room and she walked over to her rocking chair and said rock-a-bye. I usually sing her (try to sing) her a song before I lay her down and it has the words rock-a-bye in it so I'm guessing that is where she picked it up from.
