It's a good thing she's cute!

The closer Carly gets to the age of two, the more I ask myself what did I get myself into?!? Am I really ready for another?? It's amazing how one morning your sweet little child wakes up and is no longer there, only to be replaced by some demon child who insists on throwing everything, hitting, crying and throwing herself on the floor, running away from her not so fast pregnant mom (which I think she finds rather funny that she is faster than me these days) All I can say is that it is a good thing she is so darn cute, it definitely makes up for those times when she is not so cute!

Helping Daddy

I took this videa a while ago. Carly held chad's hand practically the whole time he was mowing the lawn. She does some funny things sometimes! It was almost her bedtime, that is why she was in her p.j's.

And by the way....can I just say I am so excited to say that I have only two weeks left to be big and fat and until I can hold my little baby!! I am so ready!

Okay, so i saw this and I totally could picture my brother.

I thought I would make an attempt to post some of my digital scrapbook pages that I am highly addicted to doing!

New couch!

This is our newest purchase! We finally don't have a big empty den anymore! We got it on Saturday. It still looks kind of funny to me because I'm used to seeing a big open room. Eventually we want to get a big area rug and two chairs to help fill in the rest of the space, but we need to take it one thing at a time :)

For my Dad

Just thought my Dad would appreciate this bit of advertisement from Carly. If you notice the hat has my name on it, I don't even remember when I got it but Carly found it yesterday and wanted to wear it. She thought it was pretty funny! On a side note...Carly is still doing really well with her big girl bed. She goes right to sleep at night time. Nap times are somewhat of a different story. She still ends up taking a nap it just takes a while for her to realize that she needs to stay in bed to fall asleep! I'm still not complaining though, she has been so excellent with the change!

A night of Success!!

Well, last night was the first night Carly spent in a Big Girl bed and to our amazement she did extremely well! Can I just say that we have been so spoiled with her! I hope our little guy is just like her!! Last night at 8:00 we took her upstairs and brushed her teeth. The bed had been set up all day so I'd been telling her that that was her new bed. We laid her down and gave her blankie and bunny and turned on her little fish musical thing (Thank you Emma, Carly has loved that ever since she could figure out how to push the button!) We told her it was "night, night time" and she laid down. About an hour later Chad wanted to check on her, when he opened the door we think it woke her up but he laid her right back down and she was out like a light!! I am so blessed to have such a good baby!! Knock on wood! Let's hope it wasn't just a fluke and hopefully she'll do the same thing tonight! Nap time might be a different story, I'll let you know how that goes!!

Chad drew a BIG Elmo on our driveway for Carly and she loved it!! She kept running to it and standing on his nose saying "ELMOY, ELMOY!"

Carly was tagged by Aaralyn a while back so I figured I should get to it since she can't get on the computer quite yet.

1. Carly was the perfect baby! I'm not kidding. She started sleeping through the night almost the same week we brought her home. She still sleeps through the night and we've never had a night where she hasn't. (unless she was sick) That is why I'm dreading on getting a toddler bed.

2. Carly loves to eat. She will eat just about anything we put in front of her. The older she is getting though the more opinionated she is getting so it's hard to give her certain things that she used to eat. When she first started eating solid foods some of the things we'd feed her that I thought was weird was tomato's and avocados, pickles (which she still loves!) and olives.

3. Carly loves being in the water! She takes after her father on this one! When we get in the pool she just wants to swim off by herself. She doesn't mind if her head goes under water. (she went under on accident one time and ever since then she tries to go under water, maybe that's not such a good thing!) She loves to take baths and showers and she would stay in the shower all day if I'd let her!

4. The first word Carly ever said was Kitty. The second was dog.

5. Carly LOVES Elmo if you can't tell. she can spot anything that has Elmo on it a mile away. She also know every character's name on Sesame Street.

6. Carly is the biggest daredevil (another trait she inherited from Chad) she loves to try new things. She loves going fast (i think that's why she went from crawling to running) She loves to go for short little rides on Chad's motorcycle around the neighborhood. She loves to jump off the edge of the pool into the water. Basically, she likes to give her mom a heart attack on a daily basis!

7. Carly loves animals. She loves our pets (a little too much sometimes!) She loves going out and seeing Mimi's horses and chicken (which have all sadly gone to a better place!) and their goat! Weird thing is she is afraid of large fake animals. We went to Rainforest cafe and she was terrified of the fake animals there.

8. Carly's favorite new thing to do now is color. if she sees a piece of paper, a crayon, a pencil, a pen or anything like that she immediately wants to color and it's hard to get her mind off of it! I think she gets that from me. :)
