I thought I'd post a quick video from Christmas morning.
"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Christmas 2007
Well, we are back and finally unpacked from our Christmas Vacation. We were able to spend Christmas with my family up in Utah. We had such a fun time with everyone it was hard for me to leave! Carly had a blast playing with all of her cousins, we ate way too much junk food. I played a Wii for the first time, we got to talk to Daniel (my brother who is on a mission) and Chad won 3 million dollars on Deal or No Deal (too bad it was just a DVD game!)
(above) just random pictures throughout the week! Like I said before, Carly has so much fun with all the other kids!
These pictures are to say thank you to Andrina. Carly loves the backpack and all the stuff that came with it! And Chad thanks you for the marshmellows with hot chocolate! :)

Happy Birthday to Chad!!
The big 24!! I just want to wish Chad a Happy Birthday today!! We celebrated his b-day last night with all his family. He wanted a cookie cake so that is what he got! You can't tell from the picture but it was a guy in a fishing boat on the cookie. I thought that fit him perfectly!! I love you Chad!
Oh Christmas Tree....
We went and got a Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving. I wanted to get it up soon since we won't be here for Christmas. Carly wanted to help decorate but she didn't quite get the idea of putting ornaments on the tree, she just wanted to play with them. It is difficult to keep her from pulling them all off but it isn't bad for the most part. Don't mind if the tree is crooked a little. We had the hardest time getting it this straight! For some reason it just wants to lean.

A Texas Thanksgiving!
We had an awesome Thanksgiving this year. As you will see from the pictures it was quite interesting also! WE had a "traditional Thanksgiving" we could either dress up as pilgrims or Indians. Chad and I chose to be Indians. Luckily a cold front came through the night before which brought the temperature down to 50 degrees which stopped Chad from wearing a loin cloth. We decided to wear headbands with feathers (I know, boring.) I also realized when I got home that we never took any pictures of our Indian costumes...oh well. We had a great time with family, some of them really went all out with dressing up. The food was great, the entertainment was defiantly great, the weather...not so great but at least it felt like fall!

Snow!
Unfortunately it's not real snow! We were at the mall the other night and in one of the middle kiosks they had this fake snow. It is such cool stuff. It comes in a powder and all you do is add 2 ounces of water to 1 tsp. of powder and voila...you have snow! You can even freeze it for a couple hours and it will feel cold! The best part is, if you let it dry out for four weeks you can re-pack it and save it for next year! Carly loves the stuff, although after a while she gets a little crazy and it end up all in her hair as you can tell by the pictures.

Salt Lake City
On November 2, Carly and I made a trip to Salt Lake for my Grandpa's 80th Birthday. It was really fun and I got to see a lot of family that I haven't been able to see in a while. I was able to stay for a whole week. Just enough for Mark and Desirae to get sick of us at their house :) It was fun to be in Salt Lake again and to have nice COOL weather! I loved it! The pictures above are just some things that we did while we were there. Carly was such a good girl and loved being around all the kids. She followed Josh (my nephew) around everywhere just saying his name. It was pretty funny!

Halloween
This is a house that is just down the street from us. They went all out with decorations, it looks really cool in the dark but the pictures don't really turn out. We stayed home for Halloween (not by choice, it's a long story!). Carly helped pass out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. She actually sat in a chair for quite a while, she thought she was being such a big helper.
Trunk-or-Treat
Carly was our little pink poodle for Halloween. she actually did really well wearing it. We went to a trunk-or-treat on Tuesday night. She didn't really get the idea of it. She just had fun running around trying to walk Skipper. Skipper just enjoyed smelling all the new people around him. It was pretty fun!

Gross/McLane trip to Branson :)
We finally did it. After many years Emma and I finally planned a trip so we could see each other and meet each others little ones! It was really fun, the car ride was a different story but once we got to Branson it was fun. I had never been there and I always enjoy going to places I've never been. We were only there two full days so we didn't get to do much. The cabin we stayed in was really great! I found it off the Internet so I was kind of scared to see it but I was really pleased with how nice it turned out to be. I didn't get a picture though, maybe Emma did. Anyway....I'm glad we planned it and that everything worked out so great!
Here are some random pictures from our car ride. It took about 13 hours to get there and 12 to get home. it was long but I got to see parts of the country that I've never seen before.

The pictures above were taken at Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. It was a huge outdoor store with it's own restaurant that had a really good buffet. Carly and Andrina loved looking at the fish.
These were taken while we were waiting for Daddy to ride on the go-karts. Carly loves these little mechanical toys and for 25 cents you can't beat it!
These were taken at the Hollywood Wax museum which was interesting but not as exciting as what there Internet sight said. Emma and I and the girls went while Kevin and Chad went fishing. Andrina was afraid of most of them and Carly didn't really care!
Saturday night we went to the Dixie Stampede. It was so fun and Carly actually sat through the whole thing! Although she was trapped inside a booster seat which helped. This place is a huge arena where they feed you tons of yummy food and put on a how down in the arena. This one had tons of horses and pigs and ostriches. It was a Christmas show, which was kind of odd since it's only October, but it was well worth it!!

Pumpkin Patch
Last saturday we went to a place called the Pumpkin Patch. It wasn't really a pumpkin patch but they sold pumpkins there. They had a little train ride and a hayride and little games for kids. We just went on a train ride and Carly barely made it through that. It was so hot outside too, it didn't feel like fall. Luckily it has cooled down the past couple days to where it actually feels like October.

I think I did this a long time ago but here goes again...
Rules- Each player lists 6 habits/facts about them, then when they are done they tag 6 of their friends.
1. I'll start with the most obvious one. I am deathly afraid of bugs. I will purposely go a different route just so I don' have to pass by them if they're in the house. I can handle snakes, but bugs are a no go.
2. I love the taste of Vinegar and lemon Juice (not together) I will use plain vinegar on a salad and will drink a cup of Lemon Juice and water. I have no idea where this came from but it just what my taste buds like.
3. This is a disgusting one but I have always wanted to dissect a human body. When I was in middle school I wanted to job shadow a mortician. I am just so fascinated with the human body and how it all works. It's an amazing thing. Last year we went to see the exhibit Body Worlds (www.bodyworlds.com) when it was here in Houston and I would've stayed there for hours. It was amazing.
4. One time I made some brownies and I ate almost the whole pan in one day.
5. I hate belly buttons. The worst was when I was big and prego and the thing wouldn't stop poking out. YUK!
6. I can't stand Arnold Swarchenegger and Sylvester Stalone.
I now tag: Natasha, Desirae, Brittany, Cami, Sharise, Mom

Lady
Don't worry, this is not because I'm prego. I've been looking for the past couple months casually for a beagle or a cocker spanial. There are a ton of shelters around here but I wasn't having any lucky finding any. The other day we were driving home from getting some dinner and we passed these peopl ethat were selling this one and only beagle. She is a lemon beagle. She is 8 weeks old and she is so sweet. A little crazy, like all puppies can be, but sweet. I know you probably think I'm crazy to get a puppy now but it's acutally not bad.
